The main idea of the project is to develop an educational path for mothers with migration background, especially those with fewer opportunities, and share good practices in the field of
socio-economic integration and female entrepreneurship. This project aspire at creating a cooperation among associations in order to ameliorate their impact on adult education and
increase the employability and the entrepreneur spirit of targeted women thanks to the sharing of educational path and the use of new tools and methods successfully experimented by
the other partners.
The objectives of the project are:

  1. To create a connection between the migrant women with children and the labour market, through a shared learning process that can present an alternative to the double
    discrimination they face for both their ethnic background and the patriarchal society and lead to the realization of their entrepreneurial ideas;
  2. To allow the staff of the partner organisations to acquire new skills and knowledge that will help them to improve the impact of their interventions targeting the women with migration
    background;
  3. To exchange experience, methods and good practices among the stakeholders, in order to improve the operational capacities of the partner organisations in the fields of adult
    education and women employment and entrepreneurship.
    During this 2 years long project, beyond three transnational partners meetings, the project will include specific learning mobility for the staff and two joint mobility for the target groups
    and staff in order to create a physical space for exchanging experiences and ideas.
    The project foresees 4 long-term staff mobilities (two months each, involving 12 staff members) in order to give the chance to four volunteers/social workers/educators of each
    association to work with another organisation and experience its tools and methodologies. During the mobility experience
    the person involved will be a part of the hosting organizations’ daily activities and will live a Job-Shadowing experience on the specific tool and a deeper knowledge of the methodology behind it. The volunteers/social workers/educators who will join in the mobilities will then organize and coordinate the local teaching activity using tools and methodologies concerning what she experienced during the mobility period. The local activities will last around two months each and be divided in different topics related to the needs of the targeted women.

There will also be two short-term mobilities (a week long, with 30 participants) which will involve both the target group and the staff members. These mobilities will take place after two
local activities in order to give the chance to the women beneficiaries involved to share and compare different backgrounds, contexts and experiences with other participants from
different partner countries and to share ideas for the future follow-up projects.
The direct results that will be obtained during the implementation phase of the project refer primarily to:

  • formation of a local, regional and international network in adult education that contrasts marginalization and social exclusion;
  • activation of training courses for mothers with migration background;
  • increase of the competences of staff members of partner organisations in adult education field;
  • sharing and implementation of good practices in the various partner countries and in the different social contexts that demonstrate the effectiveness of the methodology, the tool or
    the practice used to achieve the objective.
    The long-term results are expected to emerge in the:
  • decrease in the rates of socio-economic exclusion of migrant women with children;
  • process of empowerment by the active involvement of the people at risk of marginalization in taking action against it;
  • extension of the capacities of the organisations involved in the field of adult education;
  • increase of the media visibility of the Erasmus+ Program and of the European opportunities.
